Costa Gets an iPhone App

Costa iPhone App now available
I always enjoy seeing cruise lines jump into the 21st century. Royal Caribbean recently did it on the Oasis of the Seas with their touch screen digital displays in the hallways of the ship.  It looks like another cruise line is making strides to become technologically savvy as well.

Costa Cruises, an Italian line, recently come out with an application for the iPhone. This app (what the kids call it) is really detailed. I spent a couple hours playing with it last night.  You can take a 360 degree tour of the rooms and check photos from all around the ship with this app. The fact that you can scope out all 16 ships without even going to the website is beyond cool. There is a nifty web cam feature that lets you see the bow the stern of the ships live. On the same screen you can tap map and it will show you a live GPS display of where the ship is currently sitting in real time.

If you want to book a Costa cruise, you can even do that from the app.  Pretty much the whole fleet is at your finger tips.  Go download it and explore.  It may just open your mind to a new type of sailing.

You can download the app for free from iTunes.
