You know, I am a pretty optimistic person, in fact if you know me personally you know I have one of the most upbeat personalities out there. Whether it comes from great genes or just the ability to deal, I have a great amount of patience.
Lately, it seems that the devil or someone is trying to put a lot of stumbling blocks in my life and sending me through a big ass obstacle course.
Last Tuesday, I was driving to work in the pouring rain and got into an accident (I will spare the details). Long story short my car is totaled ......so car shopping is on the agenda soon!
This weekend I went to the doctor and have strep throat, with rest and an anti-biotic, I hope to be recovered soon.
Having strep throat, I took off work the rest of the day and tomorrow, so I was sound asleep and awoke by someone banging on my front door. Turns out the house on the end of my street was on fire (the way my subdivision is set up, the houses are built and connected in fours). Luckily my house is first on the block and the one that was on fire was the last house, still it was scary as hell.
Sometimes everything in the world can get in your way and push you down but having the strength and ability to push forward is what it is all about.
Maybe this was a God send but I heard a quote earlier today on Oprah (why was I watching Oprah?!).
"Where there is no struggle, there is no strength."
You have to agree with that saying ten fold. What doesn't kill us, only makes us stronger.
